Akira is Makoto's childhood friend, and shows up at his bakery one night after they hadn't seen each other for 20 years. He is secretive about his life, and confesses his love to Makoto. After Makoto is attacked by another like Akira, Akira confesses that he is not human and asks to stay by Makoto's side as his partner.
