Appears in the first chapter, Have You Seen These Shoes?. Chiaki doesn't leave her house often. She is upset when a visit to the dentist's ends with one of her shoes going missing and her having to take someone else's shoe, but gradually becomes excited about meeting "her Cinderella" to exchange shoes.
