Tarnist is a powerful magician acting as the bodyguard of the Magician King. After rescuing Rio and healing his wounds from the car accident, him and Rio enter a contract wherein Rio becomes his familiar. He enjoys teasing Rio.


Tarnist is actually the Magician King himself — though he keeps it a secret — and has been ruling the kingdom of Maurice for hundreds of years.
